Hamilton Rd is open for traffic

Hamilton Rd is closed in Castle Shannon from Bethel Park border to Route 88 due to a transformer fire.

Duquesne Light crews are on scene working to resolve the issues.

It has been a while since we have distributed a COVID Update from the Borough of Castle Shannon.

Due to the recent uptick in cases reported, locally, regionally, and nationwide, we are compelled to issue warnings again, to practice all the safety measures designed to keep the numbers in check.

The latest mandate from the Commonwealth level is to remind residents to wear masks when in close proximity to others, and certainly when visiting businesses. The press release is attached and the order is embedded therein.

Please practice safety protocols.
