Road crews are resurfacing Library Rd in the 3500 and 3600 blocks near Grove Rd and Hamilton Rd over the next two evenings.

Please avoid the area if possible.

Expect lengthy delays as traffic patterns are adjusted.

Crews will be working on the road surface on Library Rd/Rte 88 tonight 10-1-21 starting at 10pm at the intersection with Castle Shannon Blvd.

Expect delays, alternative traffic patterns and watch for workers.

Contractors for PA American Water will be working on Castle Shannon Blvd between Canal St and Poplar Ave on Wednesday and Thursday September 15 and 16, 2021 between 7:00pm and 5:00am.

To avoid heavy congestion during the day, the repair work has received emergency authorization to take place at night. Please avoid the area.

Castle Shannon Police report a 1 vehicle crash on Rte 88/Library Rd at Killarney Dr on 9-2-21.

At approximately 840pm CSPD responded with the CSVFD and MRSTSA EMS to a reported vehicle over a hillside in the 3100 Block of Library Rd.

Upon arrival, crews found an SUV approximately 40ft over a steep embankment above Saw Mill Run Creek.

The initial investigation found that the lone occupant, an adult male driver, was traveling southbound on Library Rd.

ALERT: The North Boroughs 5k race will start at 8am. Lincoln Ave and portions of northern side streets including N Balph and N Fremont will be closed. Expect traffic delays and detours for at least an hour.

This week, Allegheny County reached the substantial level of community transmission of COVID-19, as defined by the CDC. The CDC recommends that all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, wear face coverings in indoor settings. Effective Friday, August 6, 2021, masks will now be required for everyone in all Keystone Oaks buildings.
