Thefts from UNLOCKED VEHICLES overnight

On 12-26-28 just after midnight, Castle Shannon Police responded to Home Ave for a reported Theft from a Vehicle.

While investigating, Officers were able to identify a suspect and make an arrest.

Robert Eisel (61) of Ruth St.,  Pittsburgh was arrested on an Outstanding Warrant and for Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Loitering and Prowling at Night and Public Drunkenness.

This is the third arrest CSPD was able to make this year for Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles in the overnight hours. (The other two arrests were local men known to police)

While our Officers are doing a fine job detecting and identifying the criminals , the public can help PREVENT these crimes of opportunity simply by locking vehicles. Residents should even lock cars when they are in your driveway.

Best wishes for a safe and healthy New Year.
