The Glassport Police Department wants to remind citizens that Atvs are not permitted on roadways. Dirtbikes, Quads, Side by sides and all other non-emergency off-road vehicles are not permitted to be driven on any Glassport Borough Roads/Alleys. If seen you can be cited and your ATV can be towed at the owner's expense. Speeding through the Alleys is not acceptable, Atvs must be transported by other means. You cannot ride up at the dump, if you are seen you will be asked to leave. No first responders want to be dispatched for someone being injured on an ATV. This then causes everyone to have to hike into the woods to help you on property you are not supposed to be on. Remember you need approval of the property owner to be on their land or you can be charged with trespassing. Be smart, be safe and DO NOT ride on the streets or private property.
