Summer is here and this means grass is growing quickly. If you own property in Glassport Borough you are responsible for the property. You are to keep up with the maintenance of your yard and the grass. If you have high grass, weeds or unkept hedges you may receive a door hanger or letter asking you to take care of it. If you receive a door hanger or letter and do not take care of it within ten days you can receive a citation to appear in court. You do not have to receive a warning first, if it is an ongoing issue you will be citied. Fines can range from $600-$1,000 a citation. You must cut all the way to the street in front of and behind your property.
