Incident Summary

On today's date, at approximately 3:42 p.m., an Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police Officer was on patrol in the Borough of Rankin when the officer heard gunshots. Upon further investigation, a male was located suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a local hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police Department extends its condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
