One of our goals is to dispel rumors as they increase anxiety and may risk health and safety when people listen to false information. Allegheny County has created a website with up to date Q&A regarding false information or fake news.

As you saw yesterday, all Bellevue parks are completely closed to public access. As soon as we are given the go-ahead by the State and County to begin lifting restrictions we will sanitize playground equipment and reopen facilities.
Many have asked about street sweeping enforcement. The police department will not be enforcing the street sweeping ordinance until the state of emergency is over. The street sweeper will be operational to clean areas that can be accessed.
If you have noticed that some communities have activated their municipal EOC’s. This is done for several reasons. One specific reason as of late is communities with large senior centers, nursing facilities or hospitals have activated to help handle the increased risk and volume.
Bellevue has not activated our EOC currently. It is highly likely that we will if and when our infected population grows to a serious level. By activating the EOC operations move into a coordinated central location to increase efficiency and designate tasks. If our EOC is activated by the Mayor a notification will be sent with an explanation of the operations.
