LIFE SAVING MEDALS AWARDED TO POLICE OFFICERS

On September 20, 2019, Officer Joseph Faulisi and Officer Corey Wendel responded to a commercial fire at Leff Marvins Cleaners on Ohio River Blvd.  Once on the scene, they could hear someone yelling for help from inside.  Officer's Faulisi and Wendel entered the structure and located the injured owner on the floor.  The officer's team carried him from the building to an area approximately 100 feet from the business where an ambulance was waiting to transport him to the hospital.

For their actions of going above and beyond they each received the police officer's life-saving medal.  This is the second life-saving medal for Officer Faulisi who will now wear a two-star ribbon.
