OFFICERS RECEIVE LIFE SAVE AWARD FROM AMEN CORNER
On Friday, October 22, 2021, Sgt. McGaughey, Officer Blair, and Officer Diven were three of 53 area officers recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty. Our three officers were awarded the 2021 Amen Corner Life Save Award for their actions earlier this year when they saved the life of a suicidal person in the McDonalds parking lot. Upon discovering the person had already cut both arms these officers took extraordinary measures to restrain the person and apply multiple tourniquets which ultimately prevented the person from dying.
