Welcome to the YELLOW Phase
Beginning tomorrow Allegheny County enters the YELLOW phase of the Governors reopening order. What does that mean and what will be opening up?
Under the order, all businesses except a few may open. Regarding public parks and recreation facilities, the allowances are very limited. Bellevue officials discussed several topics related to Borough parks; Memorial, Bayne, and Gilliott. Memorial Park will be the first to see any relaxing of restrictions. Beginning Sat. 5/16/2020
The barricades at Memorial Park will be moved back to allow parking for anyone using the walking trail. The walking trail will be the only feature open at this time. All sports and playground areas are still closed during the YELLOW phase.
The Bellevue Dog Woods Park is scheduled to open on Sat. 5/30/2020. At this time the water in Memorial Park is shut off. Anyone using the dog park is asked to bring water for their pet.
Bayne Park and Gilliott Park and field remain closed during the YELLOW phase. Bayne Library is scheduled to reopen in June. Follow the Bayne Library website for more details.
Attached to this message are two charts. Chart one details the general guidelines related to reopening commerce. Chart two is specific to parks and recreation facilities. At this time and during discussions Bellevue plans to follow the guidelines set forth by the Department of Health and the Office of the Governor.
