Boy, we could sure use a dose of good old Freds sense of calm about now. The Pittsburgh icon taught us all (well us older folk) what it meant to be neighbors. Never been a better time to rewatch an episode or two to refresh our memories. Time to pull together as we ride the Coronavirus wave.
A broadcast message was sent out earlier with the number for today. Allegheny County currently has 219 infections, 31 hospitalized and 2 deaths. Bellevue has two positive cases as of yesterday and none reported today. County Map of COVID-19 cases
When the message was sent yesterday about active cases in Bellevue we could sense a bit of panic within the community. We knew it was just a matter of time before we saw cases and these numbers will climb over the next week or two. We know seeing high numbers is a shock, but having people know they are infected is good for them to isolate or be hospitalized. The last thing we need to do as a community is panic.
On to a lighter subject…..
Been asking people how they are avoiding shopping and still able to maintain supplies. Many of you are probably experts at the delivery services but for those who are not here are some services available. This could be especially useful for seniors listening. This may be something the younger techno-savvy Bellevue folk can assist their non-techno neighbors with.
I will miss something in this list and you experienced onliners out there add comments with services you recommend.
Send suggestions for topics you believe would be useful for the community to police@bellevueboropolice.com. We will gather information from our resources and share them with the community.
Oh yeah…..I think this is day 13?
Be safe and stay well…
