We are happy to announce that Brentwood is back!
It is hard to believe that the last race/parade/fireworks celebration held on the same day was in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Everyone is encouraged to review the attachments and share them with your friends and family.
The festivities will kick off with the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Companies "Battle of the Barrel" on Sunday July 3rd. New this year is a 6pm start time which is 30 minutes earlier than usual so Brownsville Road will be shut down to through traffic from 5:30pm until 9pm from Munsey Avenue to Marylea Avenue.
Next will be the 39th annual Firecracker 5k race which starts at 9am. Please note that any vehicle on Brownsville Road after 7am will be towed at the owners expense! Brownsville Road will be closed to all traffic at 8:30am. From Town Square Way to SR51, Brownsville Road will be closed at 8:15am. Please note as well that there will be parking restrictions and towing on Pyramid Avenue from Sankey to Waidler Avenue, Brentwood Avenue from Sankey to Waidler Avenue, Clermont Avenue from Brentwood Avenue to Glendale Avenue, and Hillson Avenue from Brownsville Road to Pary Street. Once the race is over at approximately 10am, the parade will start.
The last event of the day is the spectacular fireworks celebration which will start at approximately 9:30pm in Brentwood Park. Please see the attached map for traffic detours after the celebration.
Lastly, we hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day. Please stay hydrated since initial weather predictions show highs in the low 90's. Please also be cognizant of the increased pedestrian traffic in our walking community throughout the day and night.
Thank you and we hope to see everyone there!
