It is that time of year again!
We are happy to announce the 4th of July details and look forward to seeing everyone out there!
Everyone is encouraged to review the attachments and share them with your friends and family.
The festivities will kick-off with the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Companies "Battle of the Barrel” on Thursday, July 3rd. This event will start at 6pm. Brownsville Road will be closed to traffic (except Port Authority buses and emergency vehicles) from 5:00pm until approximately 9pm from Munsey Avenue to Marylea Avenue.
Next will be the 42nd annual Firecracker 5k race which starts at 9am. Please note that any vehicle on Brownsville Road after 7am will be towed at the owner’s expense! Brownsville Road will be closed to all traffic at 8:30am. From Town Square Way to SR51, Brownsville Road will be closed at 8:15am. Please note as well that there will be parking restrictions for parade staging on Pyramid Avenue from Sankey to Waidler Avenue, Brentwood Avenue from Sankey to Waidler Avenue, Clermont Avenue from Brentwood Avenue to Glendale Avenue, and Hillson Avenue from Brownsville Road to Pary Street. Please note that any vehicle left in these parade staging areas after 7am will be towed at the owner’s expense! Once the race is over at approximately 10am, the parade will start!
The last event of the day is the spectacular fireworks celebration which will start at approximately 9:30pm in Brentwood Park. Please see the attached map for traffic detours after the celebration.
Lastly, we hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day. Please stay hydrated since initial weather predictions show highs in the 80° range. Also, please also be cognizant of the increased pedestrian traffic in our walking community throughout the day and night.
