We receive many calls and questions at the station regarding when to call 911.
Any time an officer is requested for a situation, it will need to go through 911. Here are some examples of when you should call 911 -
Barking dogs / noise complaints
Parking complaints
Accidents / report filing
Suspicious activity
Welfare checks
The reason calls go through 911 is so they can track the incident locations, especially for any possible repeat incidents at that same location, and they also are able to track the officer's location and who is responding to the call. County will prioritize emergent and non-emergent calls accordingly.
