Labor Day

The first Labor Day was held in 1882, it became a federal holiday in 1894. Its origin stems from the Central Labor Union to create a holiday for workers. Its intention was for a parade to allow the public a chance to appreciate the work of the trade and labor organizations.

Labor Day is also a last chance effort for many people to go on trips before summer ends and kids go back to school. Whether you're working, going to the Labor Day parade, cooking out, taking that last camping adventure or just enjoying the day off, have a safe one!
