The Borough of Castle Shannon announces  the following Borough Building closures:

Until further notice, the Borough Library will be closed.

The Municipal Center on McRoberts Rd. will be closed to walk-in traffic.

Time sensitive municipal services, Codes issues affecting sale closings, etc… will be handled by appointment.

Please continue to call 9-1-1 for emergencies.

Like many neighboring agencies, schools, and businesses, the Castle Shannon Police Department will be taking proactive measures to limit exposures during the current COVID-19 (Corona) virus situation.

Rest assured though that we will still be there for you and responding to all emergencies that threaten life or property!

Although you will see our cars, and officers still out on active patrol/receiving radio calls, CSPD Police Officers have been directed to handle as much as practical via telephone or email in an effort to limit contact.

Officers are also directed to maintain a reasonable distance from others when on scenes, unless direct assistance or an arrest is required.

*Please do not take their precautions as anything more than an effort to protect the first responders, as well as yourself and your family.

Additionally, drug drop-off services are temporarily suspended. Please store your medications in a safe place until such time as regular services can be restored.
