This number includes 1,310 confirmed cases and 55 probable cases.
The ages, as well as the percentage of cases represented, of those in the county with COVID-19 are listed below.
00-04 – 4 (less than 1%)
05-12 – 5 (less than 1%)
13-18 – 12 (1%)
19-24 – 92 (7%)
25-49 – 472 (35%)
50-64 – 388 (28%)
65 + -- 392 (29%)
The gender of those with COVID-19 are listed below:
Female – 719 (53%)
Male – 646 (47%)
Of the 1,365 cases, 194 cases are in healthcare workers. This reflects 14% of the COVID-19 cases in Allegheny County. The Health Department thanks all of our frontline workers for keeping us healthy and safe.
Additionally, there are 240 past or present hospitalizations (+2).
To date, there have also been 102 deaths (no change). Of those, 92 are confirmed (had positive test) and 10 are probable. All deaths are of individuals ranging in age from 42-103, with 84 being the median age of those who have died.
For full transparency, the reporting of no additional deaths today and yesterday may be due to a delay in reporting for the weekend. ACHD reports data as soon as it is received but is uncertain at this time whether deaths have occurred this weekend but have not yet been reported.
