Effective at 2 p.m. this afternoon 3-16-20, Governor Wolf has ORDERED all non-essential businesses to close in the entire Commonwealth.
What was "suggested" yesterday at the County level is now mandatory.
This is an essential, practical and necessary move, designed to assist with the Social Distancing requirements of heading off the spread of COVID-19.
We are hopeful and anticipate that all residents and businesses will heed this order, and take appropriate measures to protect each other.
There have been some businesses who have yet to comply with the measures distributed over the past couple days.
At the Borough level, we implore our residents to follow the advice and counsel of Health Leaders at the Federal, State, County levels.
Active mitigation before there is sustained community spread is essential is the battle to get ahead of and "flatten the curve" of Coronavirus.
Stay home if at all possible, only venturing out if absolutely necessary.
We, at the Borough Level are here for emergencies and Local Government will continue to function.
As always, call 9-1-1 for emergencies.
