Keystone Oaks offers free lunch program beginning March 17

The Keystone Oaks School District’s Food Service Department will operate a free lunch program on weekdays between Tuesday, March 17 and Friday, March 27, 2020, during the state-mandated school closure due to concerns over COVID-19. 

A bagged lunch and milk will be offered free to any child 18 years of age or younger; the child does not have to be eligible for the Free & Reduced Meal program in order to receive a free lunch during this school closure. 

We do ask that you do not congregate at the site and that children simply “grab and go.” 

Lunch will be available at the following sites and times:

Myrtle Ave Elementary School                              
3724 Myrtle Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15234
11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Castle Shannon Borough Building
3310 McRoberts Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15234
12:45 – 1:30 pm

Alvern Gardens
1000 Vermont Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15234    
11:30 am – 12:30 pm 

CSPD rode by the sites today to express our gratitude to the staff manning them.

The workers explained that there was light turn out yesterday and lighter turn out today.

The sites are open during the time frames listed, which helps stagger visits from our students.
